The Astec® EarthPro™
Series DD-65 MiniMax horizontal directional drill from
Astec Underground offers power and versatility in a
compact package. This unit is small enough to work
among obstacles in existing landscapes or in tight work
areas such as against walls or buildings. This unit
offers 6,000 lbs of thrust/pullback force and is capable
of up to 500 ft-lbs of rotary torque, with a maximum
rotary speed of 180 rpm. |

The DD-1416 offers

51.5 inches (1.28) wide. Powered by a 65-horsepower
Cummins B3.3C diesel engine, it features an onboard mud
pump that pumps 15 gallons per minute at 1250 psi. This
drill has the field-proven dual rack-and-pinion carriage
drive that has made American Augers’ the market leader.
