Radiodetection’s Pipeline integrity and corrosion control (PCMx) system provides corrosion and Cathodic Protection System (CPS) pros with the ability to assess the condition and effectiveness of pipe line coatings.
A User can locate both faults & holidays in the coatings, as well as identify shorts that caused by contact to other structures.
PCMx allows pipe line manager to identify preventative requirements maintenance on pipelines and priorize when maintenance needs to be performed.
Properly timed maintenance will lead to extended asset life through the early stage identification of possible sources of corrosion.
The PCMx system can be utilized to conduct ACCA and ACVG surveys in accordance with ANSI/NACE SP0502-2010 ‘Standard Practice for Pipeline External Corrosion Direct Assessment Methodology’.
Each survey, which can be conducted either separately or simultaneously, may be used to both locate and pin point coating defects, or identify any shorts that have been made through contact with other structures.
If you remove the detachable foot, you're left with a fully featured RD8100 PDLG pipe and cable locator.
Also remember that this system captures depth of cover and GPS positional data as well.
